There should be no confusion between a bobcat and a mountain lion. Totally different looking.

 

Not only different looking...the size difference is pretty great.

I was at the Salato Wildlife center in Frankfort with one of the little granddaughters just this past Wednesday. They have a wildcat/bob cat/lynx on display. They aren't all that big really. Cougars on the other hand...they be pretty big and VERY distinguishable from a native wildcat.

Agreed, color is different as well. Heading to the farm tonight hope to have an image of a Bobcat on the trail cam. A buddy took one last year not so far from my place.
