My favorite part is how liberal media members are trying to use their old trick they do with Republican leaders on Carson. They are trying to paint him as dumb .

 

The man is if not greatest surgeon of the last 50 years , he is in the small group in consideration. The man is of very high intelligence and neither myself or anyone else on this board I believe is in a position to question that aspect of him.

 

I said the same thing about Obama while I don't agree with his conclusions or policy he's obviously a very intelligent man.

I like the guy. I think he gets beat up by the media because its easy. He speaks his mind unlike the robots we have in Washington.

 

I'm confused why he gets beat up over the "rush the shooter" comments. It's simply the truth of a situation like this. Would he and 2 other people have the marbles to rush a shooter in the same situation?

 

On the jews having weapons. Common sense again. If you got guns you can fight back. Does that mean they could have stopped the Holocaust, im not sure of that.

I've met Carson. Just saying that this dude makes idiotic statements regularly. When I saw him speak it was long before he declared for the presidency and he was saying some real humdingers back then. The man will eventually disqualify himself with his stupid comments.

Former head of the GOP in New Hampshire agrees with you. From today's New York Times:

 

“I respect Dr. Carson for his accomplishments in life, but he’s not prepared to be president of the United States,” said Fergus Cullen, a former chairman of the Republican Party of New Hampshire. “I don’t take his policy comments seriously.”

I like him. He is a new politician, and is not well polished like most of the others.

 

I don't believe he said anywhere that kindergarten kids should rush gunmen. He said that, as an adult, he would rush a gunman with the thought that others would also help to prevent more deaths.

 

I personally am tired af political rhetoric that gets career politicians elected because we don't know what else to do. I hate Trump, but love that he is getting attention to wake up people. God knows, as a Republican, I am horrified by him, but I am watching the race ever more closely.

 

IMOP Trump will fade, but I like Ben Carson. He is not hardened or cynical, and his quotes get blown out of proportion, but I think he truly has the USA in HIS best interest. He seems open and honest, which is more than I can say about any politician, Democratic or Repblucan, since Ronald Regan or Jimmy Carter. Both of those men IMO, though different parties, put America first.

 

 

He lied. He wouldn't rush a man with a water gun.

 

Also, he couldn't even motivate ten loved-starved men to rush Pamela Anderson.

 

He didn't need anesthesia to put his patients to sleep. He just talked them to sleep.

Exactly.

Probably thinks kindergartners ought to rush a gunman so that not all of them would be killed. Too bad Sandy Hook happened before Dr Carson imparted his great wisdom on our youth. Maybe one or two of those kids could have been saved.

 

Have you or your school gone through active shooter training? One of the tactics they teach is to swarm the gunman. It's not a first resort but it is an option. They also teach them what to use for weapons if need be and to put their backpacks on with as many books in it as possible.
