Strange game. Weather was absolutely a factor. Agree with the earlier comment that both coaches were a little liberal in the passing game under the conditions. Fumbles and mishandles from both teams all evening. Conner D was stellar, as the shutout attests. Lloyd did not cross the 50 the entire 2h until their final drive. Conner was in the red zone all game, just couldn't punch it in. Their score was a bit lucky, on a tipped ball in the end zone. Warwick was in the right place at the right time. Impressed with Lloyds D line. As mentioned, were put in a tough spot all night long on a short field and did not break. Conner moves to 5-1. Very sorry to hear about #2 from Lloyd losing his mother this week. Cougar thoughts and prayers out to the young man and his family.

Can you explain the QB situation for Lloyd? I have seen them play 3 times this year and there seems to be a new QB every game. Where is the kid that started against Beechwood? He looked like an athlete.

The QB situation is really weird. Fann is the young man who started the BW game he was tabbed as the starter to begin the season. He started off rough but he is a sophomore. His hasn't learned how to read his receivers and go through the read progressions. After a rough yet successful start to the season they wanted to put Runion in to shake up the O. The offense is called differently for the 2 young men I don't know why but Runion is more of an athlete and can make plays with his feet. Not really sure why they don't leave Runion in because he can throw the same as Fann but adds the duel threat. Only thing I can think off is Runion is used a lot and is a pivotal player on D. Now with that being said they used Molitor last yr as a 2 way starter also so not sure what is going on.

 

Fann is a decent athlete but needs more time to develope IMO.

I think it was a mix of both.

A little bit of both. Conner definitely started with good field position, usually around the 50, especially the 2H. Credit their D and special teams. However, the Conner offense consistently drove the ball down to the 10 yard line where they turned it over on downs all evening. The wind and rain limited any realistic FG opportunities.

Conner has found a way to beat 3 NKY top ten teams and yes Scott Ncc and Lloyd are legit so give them credit they may be over mached against Sk or Copper but they are a good team

Yea the kid is 6'4 with long arms and great ball skills. All three of his long TD catches against GC he was covered well. They just threw it up and let him go get it. Not really sure why they didn't do that last night considering they were throwing the ball with no regards for the weather anyway.
