Trinity 24 St. Xavier 7 (Frosh)

Nice job, Greenies.

3/3 my friend. Soccer Rocks beat X Wed, 2-1.

So Trinity's measly 50 players beat X's 120 by 3 scores? That does not make sense. Goes against the numbers argument (excuse) I read about so much on here. Guess the wrong frosh kids at X went out for football.

GO ROCKS !!!!!!

Friend emailed me about this game. Said X was up 7-2 in the 4th quarter and then T scored 22 in under 8 minutes. Anyone have details? I am thinking there must have been a turnover or two.

In the interest of fairness if you want to bring soccer into the argument the X frosh beat Trinity on Tuesday night and the JV Tigers also got a soccer win on Wednesday.

If you really want to take it there Trinity's #1 frosh QB is out with an injury.

I was not trying to rub anything in the X fan's faces. I just remember how many people (non X people at that) who were making such a big deal about the number of kids (or lack of) who came out for Trinity's frosh team at the beginning of the season. Honestly, my post was not directed at the X faithful at all. In all seriousness I thought it would be closer after I saw X only lost to Moeller by a few.

No one ever said X would be better with more players just strange to see such small #'s on either side. Football is a dying sport especially in CSAA. Although public leagues are improving in #'s.

Tiger, think that has more to do with the cost to send a child to CSAA or more to do with parents fearing injuries/concussions and pushing kids to play soccer more?

One lenghty drive, one 35 yard drive after St X only turnover on bad handoff from QB to RB, last drive about 25 yards after Tigers turned over on downs late in game.

Some of those things but I think it is more lacrosse, soccer etc... Youth sports specialization doesn't help.

Great point Tiger! Every sport is year around now! I for one wish it wasn't that way. I have daughters who play sports. They basically had to drop other sports they liked and pick the sport they wanted to stick with if they wanted to play competitively going forward.
