Mom is one of those whackos thinking "Obama is going to outlaw all guns" so she stockpiled guns before they became illegal. Mom knew the son had mental problems but kept the guns readily accessible anyways. Culpable.

The study/article seems to either be poorly written or purposely misleading. The article title is about mass shootings then includes what seems to be all shootings to show the low percentage that involved mental illness. Also what constitutes a mass shooting? If there is a drive by gang shooting and 5 people are killed, does that go down as a mass shooting?

October 5, 201511 yr Author My guess is it involves all shootings - your example included. I think the mental health issues that are often quoted are from shooting like this one, not shootings from other criminal enterprises such as organized crime, gangs, MCs or robberies. By in large almost every school shooting of this kind, has involved a shooter that has been prescribed some sort of psychotropic drug.

Is there any record of anyone saying that they didn't believe in God either not getting shot or shot in a non-life threatening way? I don't know.
