Cooper 39 Boone County 0 (Frosh)

Featured Replies

Final from yesterday's freshman game. Cooper is now I believe 2 and 3 and Boone County I believe is 2 and 2.

Boone is 2-2.

I did not expect this outcome last evening. I thought it would be more competitive.

Boone could not seem to get an offense going. Even in the lopsided loss to Ryle, Boone's offense could move the ball, though it only mounted two scores. Against Ryle, Boone had a running game and made a couple of nice pass plays. But Cooper's defense did not allow the Rebel running attack to get more than three yards and a cloud of dust. It was tough sledding, as they say.

On the other side of the ball, Boone's defense could not stop Cooper's QB. Number 2, Milner, I believe, ran at will (that is not a player's name, nor does it refer to the weakside LB). He was very effective going around either end. He also was able to go up the middle after the "shape" of the defense broke down. This occurred on broken plays or when the blitz failed to corral him and he then made players miss as he weaved through the defense. He will not go down with an arm tackle, either.

Cooper looked pretty solid to me. Chris Collins had a couple of long runs for the Jags. He is small but tough. Cooper has a fairly long list of players from the BCPWFL and quite a few were Knights back in their Midget days. Same with Boone.

Who has Boone beaten in their 2 wins?

@Mediocre Nachos

Boone 34 Holmes 14

Boone 36 Dixie Hts 6

Boone is 2-2.

Good summary of the game. The number 2 for Cooper is Tristin Milburn, he definitely had a very good game.
