September 24, 201511 yr I wonder how all of the current money being misallocated to the War on Pot could be better spent fighting something that's actually harmful? I hear this all of the time but I'm yet to see funds go towards "battling pot" like so many say it is. I'm not saying it's not but at least locally I've never heard of or seen a federal grant that was meant to battle or stop marijuana distribution/usage. Maybe it's just me but I feel like that is often a rallying cry for legalization of marijuana(which I'm ok with$$$$$$) If you mean stopping illegal grow operations well that's s bit different because it's not legal. With that said folks that are willing to sell one product will usually sell another if the money's right so you have to take what you can get under the current circumstances if you're looking to slow down trafficking. That's just my opinion.
September 24, 201511 yr Gotta be twice that many pot ODs a night, right? It's Schedule 1, after all. Why is it schedule 1?
September 24, 201511 yr Why is it schedule 1? Ask the lawmakers. One of the most absurd classifications known to mankind. You can pick and choose drugs from classifications II-V that kill people daily. But pot = heroin, I guess.

But pot = heroin, I guess. I kinda disagree. I like to think I have an idea as to why... HTC(talked to many people on both sides). Regulate that and you'll have folks fall in line quickly.
September 24, 201511 yr Heroin use will go down when we get out our military focus out of Asia/Middle East. Then we will be probably focused on South America and cocain/crack use will sky rocket again.
September 24, 201511 yr Why is it schedule 1? To put it simply, racist laws enacted in the early part of the 20th Century designed to make life uncomfortable for blacks and Mexicans.

September 25, 201511 yr Ha yes, the IPhone slipped an auto correct past me. And exactly how do you plan on regulating that outside of dispensaries? Home-growers are not going to test their product to make sure it's legal. They're going to go ahead and smoke it if it's 1% THC or 80% THC.

September 25, 201511 yr Which is part of the reason it's still not legal in my opinion. So why is alcohol legal? You can drink as much of that as you want to get as drunk as you want...even until you literally stop breathing or you go into cardiac arrest. Should be illegal, right? Sorry for thread jacking. Just wanted to prove a point or two.

You're talking about consumption which is completely different. So no they're not the same.

So no they're not the same. So if THC is regulated, what's keeping someone from smoking 12 or 15 joints like someone smokes 12 beers? It is the same. Also, what would be more dangerous to drive on? I'm not so sure. I'm not here claiming it'd be safer to drive on 12 joints of pot over 12 beers, I'm just saying if pot is illegal, alcohol should be too.
