Very true and also he the passes when he needed to that. The only game I don't think they win last year with JT was against Bama. The throws he was able to make in that game into very small windows was something I don't think JT does. The throws Cardale made in that game was NFL type throws' date=' and they needed everyone of them. With him connecting on those deep throws, it also allowed Elliot to keep doing his thing. OSU if they came up to stop the run then had to worry about Cardale beating them deep and with the deep intermediate routes, and if they sat back Elliot ran wild on them. He did make some big time throws. I honestly think the problem is he knows JT is healthy and able to play. While they are friends, I think both are looking over their shoulders. My buddy in the media is interviewing Meyer today, Cardale did some immature stuff after the game, I think that might be the difference.

Interesting stat. For the 2nd consecutive week, tOSU will play an opponent that the previous week played Murray State University (Northern Illinois -- Western Michigan). Goes to show Northern Illinois was battle tested coming into Columbus this past Saturday :thumb: Murray State put up 26 on Northern Illinois. Stands to reason that the Racers are at least 6 points (offensively) better than the Buckeyes.

I think it is just a perfect example of college players well, acting like they are in college. To me it seemed like they were not as fired up and excited...hey it happens. Fortunately for OSU, they are so talented, they have a larger margin for error in games like this than almost any school in the nation.

 

I totally agree with this, and it happens at times in high school as well. It drives me crazy when posters on this site think that kids, ages 15-20, can not be excited about a game that they know they should win. It is always mentioned how it is something deeper or it is the coaches fault that the players aren't fired up and ready. Sometimes, teams just play flat and the good teams find a way to win even if it is ugly.
