Fairview 58 East Carter 15

Second quarter East was just overwhelmed. Was impressed with how they kept fighting and was impressed with the first quarter. Young team though, gotta take it one step at a time.

My breakdown for Fairview is that I was really impressed with their offense. I don't see them upsetting Raceland or Paintsville who will obviously give a bigger test to them on both sides of the ball. Roy can fling it though

Running clock # 3 , with Washington playing , as predicted. Fairview has skill.

East is just not ready. They should consider dropping out of district play for a couple years, getting some wins and then resume district play.

All the excitement the program is trying to build will fade with continued losses.

That's not going to happen. Everyone here in East Carter County knows that this isn't going to be a good year now. With Johnson Central, Ashland, Greenup, Boyd, Rowan, and Fleming left I only see two or three possible wins on the schedule. I'm fully confident that they end up beating Boyd County, and kinda when it comes to Fleming, Rowan I see a possible chance, and Greenup Ashland and JC none unless they don't show up.

Next year they should be obviously better, returning Hickle theQB(who can run they just need to let him) all the receivers that have contributed, and returning Josh Ford at RB on offense along with 3-4/5 lineman. Defense they bring back everyone but Darin Phillips, Peyton Wilburn, and maybe 1-2 dlineman who don't always start. The very good sophomore class will be a year older as juniors and have another year in the weight room and they will have who have contributed/started for 4 years.

Just don't think it's that desperate yet it's only year one of a new coaching era.

Fairview put running clocks on Bath and East Carter. Lawerence put one on them.

Might have a punchers chance at Boyd.........however for everyone else, Greenup's D is too good, Rowan is to big and strong and Fleming has better skill than East. Lets not talk about Ashland and JC.

No running clock on Bath Co.

They have more than a punchers chance against Boyd. The teams are equal in my opinion, Boyd is a one man show.

I hope you're still around here next year when I can attack your comets like you have my Raiders! Lol

Well just East Carter.

I wouldn't say attacks.......just trying to bring you back to reality. Supporting your team is one thing but you have to be real sometimes. Yes, you will at least have a chance of beating West next year because of so many graduating at West....but the cupboard will not be bare. I've seen your JV and middle schools teams and they are horrible. I'm sure he is capable but Coach Champlin has a lot of work ahead of him.

I almost forgot......raiderpride5...Once again, reality check....the JV played the entire second half against Nicholas. Although its been done to him, Coach K. Brown would never run the score up against anybody......not even East. If you get a chance at a running clock you have to take it but then you call the dogs off. Can't risk injury or respect.

I was brought down to reality after this week I admit I bought in too much, and most of the kids who would start JV are playing varsity so they don't play JV.

And I never accused West of going to run up the score. Brown is a very respectable guy, what I said and honestly thought was that he would leave them in a little longer than usual to prepare for Russell. My reason being that they haven't played a full game since week 1, it wasn't an insult at all.
