My favorite in the 9th has to be Beechwood, I mean they have way to much firepower with Sawyer and Curley and Muth, there pitching is lacking a little bit but I think their offense will make up for that. I also look for St. Henry or Ryle to make a run. I don't think CCH really has the pitching right now to take the title.

 

Before I make my pick to win, I think I am going to see what the draw will be...... I hope the following happens

NCC vs. St. Henry

 

Villa vs. CovCath

Ryle vs. HHS

 

WOW think of the crowd at Champion Window on Tuesday night with these game being played there. These games could draw the largest crowds in the history of the 9th Region Baseball..... Great games, great site, can we see maybe a SRO crowd.

Anyone else feel that the 9th's draw is really late considering the games start on monday and the draw is at 1:00PM tomorrow. It appears that a lot of teams have already had their regions drawn.

BTW - Yeagle was Head Baseball Coach in the mid-90s for BW and they made the Regional Finals a couple of years in a row with List and Frohmeyer on the hill. I would be hard pressed to believe that they didn't care. But shame on the BW Boosters and Administration if they spend it all on football. Myerhoff just took them to another level, and now their consistent.

Yeah I wonder about that also..... Has anyone heard at what time these games will start, and where the games will be held at. Wouldn't it have been nice to be able to play all four of these games at Champion Window also. Maybe next year the Freedom will be on the road during the entire 9th Region Tournament week.

The only persons who just maybe won't like playing at Champion Window will be the Catchers of the teams. Unlike some high school fields where the backstop is right behind the umpire and catcher, Champion Window has a rather large area from the plate to the backstop.

Yes even the the Beechwood parents that I spoke to prior the CovCath game, said that they and their kids hate to play on their own field. The quote was "we have a twenty thousands dollar football field, and a .20 cent, no make that a .10 cent baseball field".

 

Twenty thousand for what, the field? If they only payed 20 grand for the turf field, then they got a hell of a deal, and CCH was looking at the wrong dealer.

More of a swipe at the football team and how nice their complex is compared to what the baseball teams has, than a correct price quote of what it cost, hence the baseball field only costing a dime. At least that is how I took the comment.

I like Champion Field. The firework show after the game was impressive Saturday night. I may have to take in the semifinals this year.

Having the High School Semifinals and Finals will allow those who have never been to the Field to see how really nice it is and I think it will help the Freedoms attendance latter on. The place should be packed both Tuesday and Wednesday with high school baseball fans seeing some great baseball at a first rate Ball Park.

Should be two great games at a very nice ball park.

Having the High School Semifinals and Finals will allow those who have never been to the Field to see how really nice it is and I think it will help the Freedoms attendance latter on. The place should be packed both Tuesday and Wednesday with high school baseball fans seeing some great baseball at a first rate Ball Park.

 

You make a good point, I'm sure there are many out there who've never set foot in their park, good PR move for the Freedom and a great experience for all those who play.
