Oh ok so about 80% of the core was from the farm system the last 4-5 years they were winning. Got it...

I came to this thread to read about the incident involving Votto last night and the same retread posts about the Reds organization seemed to have taken over.

My bad I though you didn't see the incident last night, because you had said Votto didn't touch Wilke's face, or you're blind, one or the other.

winning what, exactly?

winning what, exactly?

Games of baseball.

I think it's time to stop the feeding. It's very clear that's all this is.

I'm still waiting for you to show proof he touched him because while he comes close, I don't see contact. Nor do others here.

Maybe you're the blind one if you want to throw insults around.

Nope just a sick and tired Reds fan, who can see nothing coming over the horizon, like the Astros, Cubs, Cards, Indians, Pirates, and Royals all have coming up. All these teams should and will be winners over the next 5-10 years because of good farm systems, something this Reds organization has only recently started to understand, and see just how important your farm system has got to be in this market sized team, in the Reds.

Basically the entire team is home grown... The entire core of the team that went to the playoffs 3 times was homegrown outside about 2 players...

The Cubs, Astros, Indians, Pirates, and Royals were terrible for years before starting a run. Similarly, the Reds did the same thing. It's the cycle that small market clubs go through (the Cubs being the outlier to 'small market' because they mismanaged their money for years).

That's what I was about get at but it's obviously falling on deaf ears.

How does Votto, Bruce, and Frazier = 80% of the core from the farm system?

Phillips=Indians

LF= ?

CF= CHOO or Stubbs= ?

C= Hernadez, Hanigan= ?

more like 33%, maybe.

(the Cubs being the outlier to 'small market' because they mismanaged their money for years). now the Reds have become the Cubs of years gone by, is my whole point.

I'm still waiting, what has this Reds Juggernaut exactly won? how many playoff series since 1995? I'll wait.

Stubbs and Hanigan were from the system.

So were Heisey, Cozart, Frazier, Votto, Bruce, Mesoraco, Bailey, Cueto, Volquez, Leake, LeCure, Travis Wood.

All those guys were involved in teams that were playoff teams. 14 guys that were home-grown that were heavily involved in postseason seasons. I'm sure I'm missing a handful of the bench guys or bullpen arms too.

Stubbs and Hanigan were brought up in the Reds system. Hanigan was a particularly impressive development, as he was undrafted.

Phillips was brought here via a trade for Jeff Stevens. He was a product of the Reds farm system.

Choo came over in a trade for Drew Stubbs, Didi Gregorius, and another Reds prospect. All of them were members of the Reds farm system.

I believe Hernandez was a FA signing. So. You have that one.

Show me the 100% proof that Votto's nose touched Welke's face. Don't worry, I'll wait.

Go to any MLB replay, ESPN, MLB, You tube, it's as clear as the nose on your face.:rolleyes:

Again, how does the Kevin Bacon theory work here for the Reds having 80% and what exactly did these guys win? How many playoff series was it, I forgot?
