Vice is AWESOME. I've watched most episodes. Will definitely be tuning in for this one. I have a feeling this is going to be an issue President Obama and I agree on.

I believe that he also addresses the commercialization and the enterprise of the prison industry.

I hope it ends with him pardoning essentially EVERY non-violent drug offender, dropping the mic, and throwing up deuces!

Folks will really reall be mad then. :lol2: :lol2:

His pardon list when he leaves office is going to be interesting.

Is this Beyond Scared Straight (POTUS edition)?

Anyone else watch?

Need to catch this. Also, when he was in Alaska he filmed a "Running Wild" episode with Bear Grylls that is supposed to be on television later this fall.

Anyone else watch?

How was it? I'll watch it tomorrow.

Anyone else watch?

Not yet. On the DVR.

Watched. Nothing new other then POTUS' involvement. Still a terrible concept of how we handle non-violent offenders. The costs, monetary and human, are so high. Yet we take the non-thinking route and put people in prison for 20+ years. Crazy.

It's an industry, though, with lots of jobs tied to it so it's going to be hard to change.

How about the fact that the felons have charges they have to pay after they are let out of prison. Can't get a job. No money so what happens? We send them back.

If we truly believe they have "done their time" then wouldn't it simply be better off financially for us taxpayers that we waive the fees?

I'd be ok with that unless it's restitution to a victim.

I'm glad he isn't appearing in Taxicab Confessions
