I am still confused. This was a freshman game. Why would the thought of juniors playing ever be considered?

 

This was Beechwoods Freshman team. The league that they are in is considered 'Froshmore' league.. a combination of Freshman and Soph's. This is for the smaller schools that cannot field a full freshman team. I am not sure why Beechwood is in this league. Teams like HC have the option of taking all of their freshman and adding some sophs to play other like opponents or taking their freshman up to their JV team.... like Dixie has done this year. There are sticking points to each option. If you chose to field a JV team, the Freshman boys suffer and if you choose a Froshmore team the lagging Juniors suffer.

From what I'm hearing, Holy Cross is lacking in the freshman department, and chose to play this as more of a JV team due to numbers in the junior/senior classes.
