groinpull
Well, I'd prefer not to type on a phone in fading daylight so I was short. Second half was better for CCH even though they gave up the early score. Sabato is very good and just beat a CCH defender 1v1 about 15 yards out to the side of the goal and ripped one far post. CovCath did well to hold him to one score really. CCH got more of the ball in the second half and had several good chances in close but could just not convert for the equalizer. Overall, Elder possessed more and probably had more scoring chances. They were much better than Walnut Hills obviously and solid defensively. Very competitive, physical and well contested game. Best team CCH has seen this year easily I think.
gameplayedright
Agree with groinpull. The game was wide open and well played by both teams, a very entertaining game to watch. Sabato is the real deal, great finish on his goal. Once they went up 1-0 they moved him back to mid. I also thought #1 5 for Elder had an impact the second half. Don't think he saw the game the first half but he came on with a lot of energy, lot of speed and gave CCH defenders problems, CCH had trouble getting anything going for some time there in the second half in part due to #1 5 . Thought Elder had more depth and CCH has no Sabato type, A player that is a major threat to score every time he touches the ball in his upper third and can score on his own. CCH for the most part was very organized and are playing well, nothing to be a shamed of getting beat in a very, very competitive game to the division one, #1 team in Cincinnati. I do not see CCH facing a better team in KY. As I said earlier, this will only make CCH better. Great scheduling by CCH staff and they still have Summit yet to play. You only get better by playing better players/teams.
Oldtimebaseball84
At the risk of dblylw calling me out for making "excuses".....CovCath lost simply because Elder scored one and they didn't. Great game to watch....

soccerlogic
A Fun game to watch for sure. Both teams fought hard and played well. Cov Cath is lucky that it wasn't 3-0 in the first 10 mins into the game. Sabato had 2 point blank opportunities he shot over goal. Cov Cath got a good rhythm going in the first half and looked like they were going to control game. In the second half, I thought Cov Cath looked tired and uninspired. They kept giving up the ball on bad passes and not contesting 50/50 balls. Finally with about 8 mins left, Cov Cath found some energy and starting pressing and created a couple of good scoring chances they just missed. Whatever the score should of / could of been, I think the better won. It was the correct outcome. I thought the Ref was consistent and fair with both schools. ColonelCrazy
Sounds like a great game. Was this at Elder? They don't play at "The Pit", do they?

Yellow Card
I said the same thing after the match....CCH will not see a better team in KY than they saw tonight. That could bode well for the Colonels. :thumb:

Oldtimebaseball84
Does Sabato have any college offers? Not 100% but heard signing with Wright State
groinpull
Does Sabato have any college offers? I don't know what offers he has but surely he's got something on the table already. The game was at CCH. CCH really needs to clean up their passing out of the back. Very sloppy and inaccurate from the back 4 last night that resulted in some bad turnovers in places where you can give the ball up. I would love to see CCH stick w/ the 4 seniors in the back like they played the last part of the game. The chances were there up top as well, just need to finish a couple. gameplayedright
This is in part what I alluded to in an earlier post when predicting an Elder 2-0 win, the CCH defense has work to do. Is Nurre injured, whats going on? I thought he was starting C back earlier in the season, he didn't see the field against Elder.
