August 28, 201511 yr While he was most famous for his dunks the game I'll always think of when thinking of him was game 2 in 1977(I think) of the NBA finals against Portland when he and Mo Lucas looked like Ali/Frazier at halfcourt. Man the memories from that. Bill Walton/Dr J/Doug Collins/Jellybean Bryant(Kobe's dad for you youngsters)/Henry Bibby/Musberger/Rick Barry And we didn't see it live. I used to follow Portland as a kid.....all I had was Pro Basketball Digest and the box scores from the newspaper. No television coverage at all. Mo Lucas was a stud for the Blazers. Great video in had no clue that happened. How about Bobby Jones catching the a Dawkins sucker punch.
August 29, 201511 yr A very athletic big man, almost like a poor man's Shaw. Surprised to see only 6 rebounds per game. I had a Dawkins poster right next to my bed. It was one big picture in the middle with twelve small pics around the border.
