August 21, 201511 yr Not a fan, but I don't think he's gone after this year. Reds problems don't start with him. Of course, they didn't start with Dusty either. Team isn't going to win next year anyway. Why make a move now and bring in another guy to lose?
August 21, 201511 yr I don't understand why everyone is so keen on him staying around for another season to develop the pitchers. There are plenty of good pitching coaches around. Why keep him around when he's an ineffective manager? I'd be more worried about finding a guy that can help Hamilton develop as a hitter and figure out how to get Bruce back to what he was. Maybe get Suarez to quit kicking so many routine balls at SS. They can have all the pitching in the world but if they don't figure some of the other stuff out they're going to continue to struggle.
August 21, 201511 yr Well, if he goes, I sure hope he has another profanity laden fit. That has been the highlight of his tenure.
