Stat Keeping Software

Featured Replies

You say that after working with me in the NCC-Newport game last fall?

Hell no! You are the man. However, I'm a pencil and paper guy.

I use The Automated Scorebook for Football STATCREW.COM - STAT CREW SOFTWARE it only runs on Windows 32bit ( I use my MacBook running Windows 7 on Parralels). It costs $400 for initial purchase and upgrades are $165 yr (not required). It has a learned by curve to start but once you've used it awhile it is pretty easy. I've used it since 1999 for semi-pro, Arena2, and high school. I am at Fern Creek now, previously at Manual, Atherton, Southern.

This is the same software used by NCAA, also Trinity, Male, Central use it as well as all the Lexington area schools thru WL Stats, that company also does the state finals

We also use it at Oldham County, It keeps season and career totals also.

A lot of schools use hsgamecenter.com it is a pretty good site.

I've used statcrew since 2004. As said earlier, it is the de-facto stats software used by most of the NCAA and Arena football.

That being said... Statcrew support has fallen on hard times over the past 5 years. If Hudl made a full fledge stat program that did everythign stat crew did AND also allowed for importing of previous statcrew games (in order to keep historical and record info), I'd be all over it. Frankly... they should be all over it!

I've developed an online app that takes the Statcrew Game XML file and converts it into a format that can be imported into Hudl. So, we don't need anyone "tagging" a game using Hudl's tagging tool. The amount of data I collect and generate using Statcrew is much more than anyone will ever collect using Hudl. It even tags each Hudl play with "Play Text", so that when you're watching the video, you can see the text above. I've got TONS of programming hours on this thing,.

Here it is... Statcrew TASFB to Hudl Gameday Converion Utility

Thanks for linking that tool, I have been printing out my play by play and doing tag a game on my iPad then matching with video thru Hudl. This should save me about an hour a week.

Let me know how it works out.

Note: You cannot import into any "Roster" type field. Hudl import currently does not allow it. But, I simply create new fields in Hudl. For example, instead of importing into "Passer", I create and import into a field called "Passer #".

I got it to work, I run statcrew on a MacBook Pro running Parralels with Windows (in addition to El Capitan). Took me a few minutes to figure out how to create an xml file and then where to find it. But then import was easy, hardest part was making sure to click just so on columns when creating new columns click wrong and it won't select and have to start over, took me about 8-9 tries. I only had 1 game that I didn't add data to yet, now it is done. Thank you again

I will have to try this after our freshman game tonight.
