Every cable company will have a turn with debates. It's always like this.

It's how debates have worked for years ? Each station sponsors a debate.

If every network carried the debates - D or R - there would be a mass exodus to alternate programming.

I've never really paid attention but it seems like only the general election debates are carried by multiple channels.
