Very interesting situation. Leaving the best roster in the region to go to a program that is in rebuilding mode to be an assistant? There's more to the story. We'll see if it ever comes out.

May he be a coach in waiting?

Frankie Smith in the mix?

Muhl North and South combined this is one of the best jobs in the state a 6A school who loves basketball and in a three team district with Ohio County & McLean County.

Should be a great job. They haven't had the talent they used to in recent years.

They won the third region their first year in existence (2010), but haven't been able to get past the Owensboro schools (Daviess '11; Apollo '12; Owensboro '14-'15) in the regional tournament. Muhlenberg County is a good job and the community is supportive, but the talent wouldn't seem to be able to compete with the schools from Daviess County on a regular basis.

Frankie Smith from the 15th region?

Smith would be a great hire if they could get him to take the job. Saw on twitter they had 25 applications. Not many good coaches are out of a job this time of year.

Interesting headline I just read:

Former UofL Cardinal Ellis Myles finalist for CCHS job

BREAKING: Still trying to confirm, but hearing that former Louisville Cardinal Ellis Myles is new boys basketball coach at Christian County.

The Web site for the local paper said he was interviewed not hired. Hope they can do better than this guy as no one in Louisville will touch him as he is out of control and his only hope for a job is his old coach Pitino.

Chris Jung is the guy from the local paper there I believe. It looks like he updated it and said it's not official yet or something.

I assume you are suggesting that no high school in Louisville will hire him because of past on-court incidents and although he may have some of those not so proud moments, he also has some very good coaching moments too. He would be a high risk/high reward hire in some regards, but I would not write him off as a poor hire based on his past. People change and become wiser as we mature. The debate on the merits of his potential hiring will play out in time if he indeed becomes the next Christian County HC.

What are the incidents?

I was commenting to your reference he was out of control. I assumed you meant something on the court. My hunch is he will be hired and time will tell whether it was a good move for all involved.

Background was not up to standards from some big names not Pitino. They can do better than him.
