I remember back at the height of crazy prices for cards I paid $5 at the coin place at the Florence Mall for a pack of 1985 Topps cards in around 1988 or so. Drew a McGwire Olympics rookie card and the guy offered me $25 on the spot and I didn't take it. That was one of tens of thousands that got swiped from me.

August 4, 201511 yr It makes me sick to think of all the cards I used to have that I don't anymore. Growing up, my grandpa had a warehouse in cincinnati. He sold to mom and pop grocery stores as well as some bigger chains etc. He sold every type of food you could think of as well as candy. He also sold baseball cards so every year I would save up and buy a box of Topps baseball cards. Started back in 72' all the way through grade school and high school so I had basically every card from 72-83 Joined the military and while I was away my mom threw them all away. arghhhh
August 4, 201511 yr I have a couple of Topp's #1 draft pick cards for Frank Thomas. He was playing in his Auburn University uniform. I always thought that was a cool card. [ATTACH]51543[/ATTACH] [ATTACH]51544[/ATTACH] I played against him in college. I witnessed one of those HR's airmail me.
