Russell 7 on 7 Today and Tomorrow

Heard that my Lewis lost in the semifinals today against Lawrence. The Lions battled back and had a better showing after losing the first two games to Greenup County and Wheelersburg. Was told they then beat Greenup 2, Johnson Central, and Fairview.

From what I've heard Russell and Wheelersburg OH were in the championship game with Wheelersburg winning on Friday. Said all teams looked good with many games possibly going either way. Was told JC looked good as well as Fairviews QB.

Just had a schedule sent to me. In the varsity division, Pool A consists of Fleming 1, Russell Maroon, Raceland Black, Greenup 1, and Fairview. Pool B consists of Greenup 2, Raceland Orange, Fleming 2, Russell Gold, and Lewis County. There is also a JV division which consists of Lewis County, Russell Maroon, Raceland 3, Russell 4, and Greenup 3.

7 on 7 is overrated doesn't have any football transition to games. It's good conditioning but qb not worried about pressure and Wideouts not worried about getting hit over the middle especially. I've seen teams look good in 7 on 7 and not win any games during the season.

This is true in a way. But for a team that may throw 90 times a game it may be beneficial. For a team that runs the ball 90 times a game, it helps work on a part of the game they may not be distinguished in just yet. It's all important.
