If it comes in lines and waves I'll be a lot less worried about the games Just got through looking over the morning info for tomorrow. The chance for severe storms has increased significantly and I don't see how they'll have anything outdoors on Monday in Cincinnati and much of Kentucky. It may still be possible but I don't know.
July 12, 201511 yr Author Morning update: There is now a moderate risk for severe storms on Monday. Cities in the moderate risk area are Henderson, Louisville, Cincinnati and Lexington. Most of the rest of Kentucky is still in a enhance risk area for storms. Moderate risk for storms means: *widespread severe storms likely *longlived widespread and intense *strong tornadoes *widespread wind damage *destructive hail 2+" in diameter Enhanced area means *numerous severe storms possible *more persistant and/or widespread *a few tornadoes *several reports of wind damage *hail 1-2" in diameter It looks like N KY and WRN OH could see storms throughout the day. All indications are supercell and damaging bowes possible with strong tornadoes and with very large hail possible. By late afternoon additional activity is expected to develop. Storms are expected to form in CNTRL IL and move southeastward across the Ohio River. Widespread wind damage is expected across much of Kentucky. Hail and a couple of tornadoes can't be ruled out. I want be able to update until later this evening. So everyone should prepare for today and especialy for tomorrow. Keep abreased of the weather in your area.

Friday look for thunderstorms and temps in the low to mid 80s. There is a 40% chance of showers and storms for Friday.
July 12, 201511 yr Author I had to look up a weather term used for the afternoon storms on Monday. M.S.C. mesoscale convective system. This is a complex of thunderstorms which become organized on a larger scale than individual thunderstorms. They usually persist for several hours or more. So outdoor activities late Monday afternoon and evening are not looking good at this time.

Thanks so much. Last time we went we hit really bad rain and had to pull off the road twice. That was around the Columbus area.
July 12, 201511 yr Author Quick evening update: I checked the latest information. A significant severe weather event seems probable for Monday afternoon into the evening. Widespread severe thunderstorms capable of damaging winds...Tornadoes and large hail are likely. I've even seen some info that say we may see a derecho. A derecho is a widespread, long-lived wind storm associated with a band of rapidly moving showers or thunderstorms variously known as a squall line, bow echo. I'm going to wait til morning around 4 am if the threat is still there I plan on going into severe weather threat mode then. I'll be on BGP around that time.
