Transylvania University!

Morgan County's 6'6" Forward leaves Morgan County as a very distiguished Cougar. Perhaps the only player in history to have 1,000+ points, 500+ rebounds, and 300+ assists. He finished 2nd in Kentucky in FG % and set a school record for 21 consecutive FG's made this season. He LED the Cougar team in assists this season averaging over 4 apg. Very impressive for a Forward.

CONGRATS TO BLAKE

the ultimate team player in the 16th region:thumb:

Congrats to Blake...Transy is getting a great young man.

:thumb: Congrats to B. McCowan, I wish him the best.

Congrats from the nWo household. It is always good to see people able to continue playing but even better when they can use their abilities to help further their education.

Congratulations to Blake, and a nice pickup for Transy. Looks like a real win-win signing.

On a side note, Nets - I'd say that that's pretty impressive for any position... :thumb:

Hey Nets, I talked to Blake a little while back and he said he wasnt for sure if he was going to get a full ride to Transy. Do you know if he did end of getting all of his college paid for?

RA09,

School's like Transy can't give full rides. However, they can 'find' and give enough aid to make it nearly a full scholarship. Blake will have the majority of his education paid for, perhaps as much as 90% or better to Transy. But they can't give 100%. Also, any scholarship given, for example at a D-I school are not 4 year scholarships, rather 1 year scholarships that are renewed each year. That is sometimes a misinterpretation by many.

But Transy really worked hard and Blake's academics helped as well.

Hope things are well with you RA09.

I could be wrong, but I think D-III schools can't give athletic scholarships at all. So any financial aid will be in the form of academic scholarships, etc.

Anyway, Blake is one of my favorite people in the world. He's a truly great guy and a great athlete.

God bless you, Blake.
