gold sunrise
Basketball season for 2015/2016 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Bishop Brossart Remember, please be constructive.
Randy Parker
Mustangs lose their #1 & #3 scorers from a season ago in Jon Zink & Spencer Hackworth, but they return #2 scorer & rebounder Jackson Crawford, who will undoubtedly be the leader for the 2015-16 squad. The 'Stangs will also welcome the return of wing Jacob Zai, who averaged 8 ppg. last year & is the top returning perimeter shooter. Brossart had a rebuilding year last year & still came within an eyelash of another 10th Region Class A title. I expect them to be in the hunt for that crown yet again. In terms of the 37th District, I think Code's bunch is behind Campbell County & Scott for a second straight season, but they'll still be a tough out come post-season time. Mustang
While, on paper this might appear to be an inexperienced bunch, we will potentially have 8 seniors, who all had extensive experience filling out that 2014-15 lineup, while going 16-3 as JVs and winning the NKAC Division II championship outright. Junior Bryce Kremer will fill the shooter's role vacated by Hackworth nicely and expect Logan Schultz and Justin Rolf to head up a strong guard corps. Dylan Geiman, a sometimes starter a year ago, also returns. This team will have excellent chemistry, be deep, be smart, and will lock you up on defense. Expect Joey Hickman to be a top rebounder, Zai to have a banner year, and Jackson Crawford, who has benefitted from his AAU experiences this spring/summer to be a SERIOUS All-Region candidate. We too think that we will strongly compete for the 10th Region "A" Title, and should be more competitive in the district/region race this year. lawildcat
I like Joey Hickman. He has really matured over the years so I look for him to have a strong season. Good luck Mustangs!

Get more effort and heart out of him than his size dictates...he's a motor and no quit in him.
lawildcat
@Mustang What impact will Dylan Geiman not playing have on the Mustangs this year?
Mustang
I like Dylan. He gave us some big minutes last year. I personally would have liked to have seen him finish it out with his senior classmates. Dylan is OK with not playing. He is trying to land a soccer scholarship from Thomas More, and is playing winter indoor soccer. Other than giving us a player with experience that would have bolstered our depth, I think the effect of his not playing will be minimal. We are deep enough this year that we can always have quality players on the floor. The shots/rebounds that Dylan would have gotten will be scored and pulled down by someone else. Qryche11
Is Jackson Crawford related to the Crawford boy at Bracken Co?
Mustang
No. He is the son of Scott and Linda Crawford. His maternal grandfather is former Dayton Flyer and Cincinnati Royal, Arlen Bockhorn's brother.
