Got to tell you, the last time I have eaten at both the Shelbyville and Frankfort locations, I have been disappointed...VERY disappointed with the Frankfort location.

 

There a few months ago, ordered prime rib. They literally brought be an inedible piece of cold shoe leather. I sent it back and ordered a medium rare rib-eye to replace it. Waited forever before they finally sent it out to me, me and gf being about the only customers in the place...cooked well done.

 

I have also heard similar "less than stellar" reviews from locals here in Frankfort. First couple of time I ate at the Shelbyville location were pretty decent, but since then it and the Frankfort location I can't say too much good about. Maybe your experience will be better.

I've eaten at Cattlemen's several times and have never had a good steak. Salad bar is fine.

Agreed ate at both of them not great food, service was very sub par. Not a fan.

Cattleman's DEFINITELY not in the same category with Malone's if that's your two choices. Cattlemans more along the lines of a Texas Roadhouse, etc. Of course, you're gonna pay more at Malone's too, but get a better steak.
