Hard to not put Male up there. Iconic in the Louisville area for sure and each decade seems to contend. Going all the way back to the 1880s...

 

Recent National Select 7on7 championship and current national ranking should help their case.

 

Male is a very good program but can you make an argument for putting them ahead of Boyle County, Danville, and Beechwood? Also, I wouldn't put any stock in the 7on7 championship. It's impressive but doesn't relate to the prowess of the main program.

It depends on what your definition of icon is and what time frame really? For me I'd like to know from OHIO, IN, WV and Tenn who they think since they border us. Thats what a real ICON would be to me. Outside perception.
