Cal State Fullerton at Louisville (Super Regional)

UL loses its two games in extra innings, one by virtue of a HBP to allow the winning run in and the other by a disputed HR and then a strike-him-out, throw-him-out DP to end it. I give Fullerton all the credit in the world. They played the whole series hard and tough--not perfect execution at times---but with a lot of grit. I think they'll be a tough out in Omaha. I also thought that UL got a little full of themselves in the post-season.

The count was 2-0 to Hairston with 2 outs when the caught stealing occurred.

UofL was stupid on the bases all night. And I'm pretty sure they went 0-fer with RISP for the 2nd time in this series.

0-17 with runners in scoring position in the two losses to CSF. Razor-thin margin of failure.

OK ---I must have dozed off for a second. I saw the out at second and then the celebration.

Fun team to watch, but also frustrating. They clustered the inning where they had 2nd & 3rd & McKay crushed one to the wall for a great catch & sac fly. Runner on 3B and 1 out and Ray gets caught between home & 3B on a tapper back to the mound AND runner gets thrown out at 2B to boot. 1 run out of that situation was pitiful.

Hairston was an inch from a double down the line to win it.

Fullerton was an inch from allowing a ball he dived for run past him to the wall.

HR was an inch from going foul. (Would love to talk to someone that was standing out there to see if they heard it hit the pole. Visual is not going to prove anything.)

Passed ball was an inch from missing ump's foot and scoring winning run.

Rogers was dealing until the line drive whizzed past his head for the catch. I think that got the adrenaline pumping and he could never control it. NO upside to screaming at Fullerton. Pump yourself up all you want, but don't taunt an opponent. Doesn't matter what they may have been chirping at him. Let your pitching do the talking.

Henzman walking the #9 hitter in the T8 was brutal. Fullerton had like 3 xbh the whole series (2 of which were HRs in Game 3 by the only guy UofL couldn't get out). Walks & HBPs are just like singles. There's a reason that dude was batting 9th. Throw him strikes and if he gets on, so be it.

Game of inches. Lots of good talent returning. Lots of SR leadership needs to be replaced. They have the right guy at the helm to figure it out.

The angle on the cameras is not down the 3rd baseline at Jim Patterson. The fans standing by the pole all said that it missed the pole by a yard. There was no sound. The 100% evidence was a sell-job to ensure the opportunity that a west-coast team made it to the CWS.

Pastor Dave Stone was 15 feet away and said that it missed the pole.

Cardinals, fans react to controversial call during Super Regional

Too funny. A Channel 11 lady and a pastor with their take. Does anyone have a video of other experts, say perhaps a local plumber and car salesman, that might shed some light on this?

Sports fan, everybody in that corner saw that it missed the pole by a yard.

Fullerton got what they deserved - an early exit out of the CWS.

The only ones that mattered said it was a fair ball. The better team for the weekend was Fullerton.

I am not a Louisville fan, but it was a foul ball.

Louisville had its chances and came away empty handed.
