Sorry I will not be able to attend. Sure hope someone keeps this thread current. Sounds like a traditional baseball program (HC) from a medium sized rural school versus a larger urban school that does it the old fashioned way with a bunch of multi-sport talented kids. Very unique team in this age of one sport athletes. This could be a very competitive and exciting game. Hope Coach Whitaker gets this young team to state; however, a Scott victory would not be a surprise as these scrapers seem to find a way to win some high scoring games over the last three weeks.

Harrison is 30-7, having won 14 of last 15 including a 5-4 home victory over Scott on May 7. Scott comes in with a six game win streak and 20-11 overall record. Coach Whitaker is #2 all-time in Ky with more than 1,030 victories all at Harrison Co. I have no idea who is throwing for either team or their records. Can anyone provide details?

Rooting for Jeff and the Eagles tonight.

Zach Mann should be pitching for the Eagles. He's part of the trio of pitchers (Ohmer and Trame being the other 2) that would could best be described as 1A, 1B, 1C. No true number 1 for Scott..all three have been very good. Mann is the hardest thrower of the bunch. With Mann pitching, Trame plays second which makes then even better defensively up the middle. Scott will need the bottom of their order to keep hitting as well as they have over the last several weeks. Scott's lineup has a nice blend of guys with power to gaps, speed and contact.this game could go either way...it could be a low scoring affair, we could see another 11-8 type game we saw last night from Scott. And for the hundredth time...it is just Scott High...not Scott County as is printed on the tournament t-shirts:facepalm: (not directed at you oldcoach)

 

By the way, Scott is not that much larger (Scott and Harrison are both in the same district now for football), and Scott is far from an urban school, being located on an old farm.
