Who was the selection committee for this game? These rosters are laughable! Some of the choices make sense but where are players like Matt Wilson, Colton Elkins, Larry Whelan, Eli Wright, Quentin Goodin, Ben Weyer, Perry Ayers, etc... Did they turn down the invitation or were they simply left out? Someone please enlighten me!

 

I don't know the selection process for this game, but for you to belittle the rosters is quite pathetic. These are still kids that were recognized because they've played well. Like every other all star game, I'm sure there were opportunities for more high profile players to play, but for whatever reason, they didn't. But there's no excuse for a grown man to make a comment like you just made. Especially when one of your beloved Travelers was in the game.

Northstar he's just upset that he didn't have his nose in the middle of it. It was a very nice evening of Basketball with good intentions and good kids, plus a few coaches floating around.

I now completely understand where I was wrong. How crazy of me to think that calling the rosters "laughable" wasn't a knock on the young men that actually showed up to the event. Thanks for straightening me out.

This one has gone way off the tracks. I believe it has been the East West All Star Game for 29 years. Don't imagine they will change it now. It was a nice event in a great venue. I enjoyed seeing players that I hadn't seen before or in sometime in both boys and girls games.

Marty Donlon goes out of his way to put on a nice summer all-star game for the Louisville area, and of course some knucklehead with no clue of what's going on has to immediately go off the rails and complain about the rosters and selections.
