May 28, 201511 yr I can say with 100% certainty I know that after two drinks (excluding liquor) I'm under the limit. Don't know about 3, thus if I have more than 2, I don't drive. As to your second question, because if I want to go out to dinner and have a drink, I'm going to and I'm not going to feel the least bit bad or guilty about it. I'm doing absolutely nothing wrong. Here is the misconception: 1 beer = 1 shot = 1 6 oz glass wine. All are the same alcohol by content and by design. So 2 beers is the same as 2 shots, just hits your system more quickly. Many people don't realize that drinking "just beer" is really no different than drinking "just shots", but the timing of intoxication is more rapid with liquor and wine because of the alcohol content.

Certain beers, however — I'm looking at you, Bud Light, Miller Lite and Coors Light — are so watery that I can't fathom how anybody could retain enough alcohol from them to ever even register after repeated trips to the john.
