CCH/Highlands DH Updates

Let's say there is two seasons the regular season and the post season. I would not call them scrimmages and I'm sure the players wouldn't think that. A lot like the NCAA basketball season.

Not like NCAA basketball at all. If you have a .083 win percentage in the NCAA regular season, you don't make the tournament. You go 3-33 (.083) in high school baseball you are in the postseason (by default). But those 3 wins can also make you the #1 seed in districts.

Only 3-4 games in the regular season mean much and those are the seed games.

Well said. These games are simply scrimmages.

I felt compelled to check the Scoreboard. It said that HHS lost two games on May 2 and that CCHS won two games.

Nothing played against CCH is "simply" anything. Period.

In honor of that guy, CCH got the brooms out against the Birds program over the weekend. Sweep!

Just curious - would the HHS coach and players feel the same way? Did it not bother them at all, losing these two games, esp since they were to the hated Colonels?

I think I understand what you are trying to say that these were regular season games, and they do not mean as much as others, but to say that these were scrimmages is an insult IMO. I doubt anyone who is involved in these games would consider these scrimmages.

Someone previously mentioned "sweep", but the JV Birds won 8-6, so the weekend was 3-1 in favor of the Colonels.

Ooops! That was me. Sorry for the misinformation.
