Ryle 10 Cov Cath 5

Featured Replies

Let's not let the CCH errors overshadow the Radier win... the walks and the base hits scored more then 5.

I won't take anything away from Ryle in their victory today, as Ryle played very well in the field, and indeed did hit the ball well, but if CovCath makes the play at second and at worst gets a force out at second you don't score 7 runs in your big inning, and the game is still up in the air at that point.

I'm not going to take away from Ryle's hitting or there defense.

But the particular play that TheOldGuy is talking about the 2nd baseman had to dive to stop the ball i dont believe that was the his fault or the SS. And yes i am disappointed in the play of our Colonels but don't blame the wrong people. It was a bad throw and i don't believe that the 2nd baseman dove at the ball and tried his hardest to keep his foot on the bag for the heck of it.

Not the first time and I'm sure not the last that Old Guy sees things in a different light. I spoke with the pitcher's dad after the game and he even admitted the throw was Mike's error. There's not one person to point a finger at in this game on errors. It was definitely a team effort. I think the only player in the game without an error was Blazejewski in right. But, did you hear the Ryle coaches coaching non-stop to their players? Maybe Krumps needs to stop chewing you know whats and start coaching these fine young men. Kudos to the Ryle coaches. I do think CovCath gave away most of that game, but Ryle's defense was well executed.

Nice win for the Raiders...let's not take anything away from them though by blaming CCH's errors for the reason they won...They must have hit the ball solidly and put the pressure on CCH to make them commit these miscues.

Simply put, Ryle made the routine plays, and CCH didn't which is why Ryle was the better team TODAY. I'm sure these two teams will meet somewhere down the road when it matters. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season.

I most make amends for the play at second base from the Ryle vs CovCath game on Tuesday. I have been e-mailed by two who I trust and know that understand the game, and they told me the ball was throw poorly. I guess my angle on the play was bad and I apologize for saying it was the infielders who made the bad play.......

7 errors for the Colonels? That MUST be close to , if not, a record.

7 errors was probably generous for those of us who watched the game. Just one of those nights. Old guy is correct in rescinding his statement about the one error. The infielder made a good effort to try to catch the ball and it was definitely a throwing error on the pitcher.

Old Guy......it was nice of you to apologize. Looks like CovCath isn't the only one that makes errors :D
