^Yes really. They're 52, 53, and 52. Dibble hasn't pitched in going on 20 years, Charlton in 14 years, and Myers in 17 years.

 

To suggest those guys could still pitch at a major league level is beyond absurd.

Is this really Price's doing? How many options do the guys on the 40 man have left? That could be playing a huge role.

It has nothing to do with options. 2 other catchers are already on the 25 man roster. You'd simply send him to the DL and bring up a guy already on the 40 man, like Chris Dominguez, who began the season with the big league club.
