When the 9th Region "A" is all said and done, the champion will have to clear Brossart, the 10th Region Champ, in a 9th/10th sectional playoff game.

 

The winner advances to the "A" State Tournament on Derby Day weekend at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. The 9th/10th Champ plays the winner of Region 5/6 at 2:30pm on Saturday, May 2nd.

Beechwood is up 8 or 9-0 in the 3rd inning

Why do the 9th and 10th Regions have to play each other again this year to see who gets to the state tournament? That make three years in a row. 9,10,11,and 12 are supposed to (at least in past) have a rotation with in those four regions so you don't play each other, but the last few year its just been 9 vs. 10 and 11 vs. 12. Anyone know why?

I thought I had heard a few years ago that they got rid of the sectionals and that all 16 regional champs got to go play down at Whitaker Park? I guess I heard wrong on that.
