Bengals And Ravens Both Interested In Tight End Rob Housler

Featured Replies

Housler is entering his fifth season out of Florida Atlantic and spent the previous four in Arizona. Over that span, Housler has 105 catches for 1,133 yards and one touchdown. At 6'5" and 240 pounds, he could be a good red zone target for either Baltimore or Cincinnati, with both teams employing a bit more of a tight end-friendly system than the Cardinals.

This tells me the Bengals want nothing to do with Gresham unless they are extra desperate.

And I guess the Ravens want nothing to do with Gresham either

Does anyone?

Housler? Who? Had to look him up. Never heard of the guy. Of course, just about anyone would be better than Gresham at this point. Shocked the Bengals didn't make a run at Peyton's old TE from Indy/Denver that just signed with the Titans.

I don't think Tamme is right for the Bengals.

The Bengals need a TE that can run block and catch the ball. Tamme is a skilled receiver but his blocking is suspect. Eifert is a bigger Tamme, IMO. Not sure who the ideal guy is but you're tipping your cards if you sub out a Gresham for Eifert.

Not much to pick from. Bear Pascoe might be a good one to sign he played for the Falcons last year. Hopefully they draft one in the 3rd round.
