Good morning to all. Here is the Tuesday morning update.

 

The Cincinnati/NKY area will be looking at freezing rain this morning until it changes over to all rain by the afternoon. Accumulation amount of .01-.10 of freezing rain is possible. The area in question is north of a line from just north of Louisville through Frankfort, Paris then northeastward through Flemingsburg.

 

Now for Wednesday, the chance of freezing rain is on the rise for almost the entire state before it changes over to all snow. Possible accumulations of .01-.10. Chances are 50-60%. There is a pocket in central Kentucky from around Richmond to Winchester where the chance for freezing rain is greater than 95%. This area seems to move eastward into eastern Kentucky as we transition into all snow.

 

The area that showed the possibility of the most snow(8-10") yesterday now have a 50-60% chance of seeing 8+ inches of snow through Thursday.

 

8-10" of snow for Harrodsburg, Danville, Nicholasville, Lexington, Richmond, Winchester, Mt. Sterling, Irvine, Morehead, Flemingsburg, Ashland.

 

6-8" Hopkinsville, Bowling Green, Louisville, Frankfort, Somerset, Jackson, Prestonsburg, Paintsville, Williamson, Georgetown, Maysville, Cynthiana, Williamstown.

 

4-6" NKY/Cincinnati area, WKY, London, Corbin, Pikeville.

Just a tip. I have long had off/on back issues. Last year however, I abused it and had several bulging disks that apparently were pressing a nerve which gave me sharp pains in my hip. The thing is, for the first time, after I worked out, I put an ice bag on my back (stuck it down the back of my pants), and what had been bothering me for a while cleared up in a matter of days (and has stayed that way).

 

So, the first few minutes are uncomfortable, but I would recommend ice.
