Faiview's Superintendent, Bill Musick Resigns, Again.

Featured Replies

Point of clarification from your earlier post, Chad Tackett was a Fairview grad and Fairview player. Why was he pushed out? Well, let's go back and look at the chain of events leading to that event:

Musick steps down as Head Football Coach.

Chad Tackett becomes Head Coach.

Gary McPeek was hired by the school system.

Nathan McPeek was hired as an assistant coach.

Chad Tackett was fired as head coach.

Rex Cooksey was hired as Head Coach for one season.

Nathan McPeek was hired as Head Coach.

Chad was pushed out to make room for Nathan McPeek to become Head Coach and Cooksey was put in between to make it less obvious.

I speak of this event, because I do care, Chad is a good person and a good coach.

As is Nathan McPeek so what's your point? Chad and musick were having problems well before the McPeek hiring from everyone I've talked with

Normally, people that do something wrong want people to stop talking about it because the average person has a very short memory about wrong doing, i.e. political scandals. We talk about it to make sure those memories are not forgotten. When any school thinks about cheating, they should immediately think, "we don't want the sanctions that Fairview received".

Move on ram people and programs recover.

Ram I respect you truly do but your dead wrong with your statement in my opinion. Heck bobby Petrino got back to louisville, America is the most forgiving place on this planet. Not defending anyone or anything just can't believe grown adults keep the pot stirred but maybe that's the stereotype we have in our area.

And maybe America being so forgiving isn't a good thing....? That's a different topic though.

I personally think pushing Chad Tackett out of Fairview was the worst idea by their program, ever.

Musick is a snake. Nathan McPeek while I'm sure has some regrets was a fine coach and person as was Chad Tackett what do they both have in common: that's right Bill musick said get out of here. If you aren't from the fairview tree then seems like you are gone. I disagree with you little ram on one thing those kids on those fairview teams earned the right on the field to play for state title. They didn't take anything away from you or other teams because you had a chance like others to beat them. Ineligible player or not didn't have nothing to do with on the field execution. Anyway hope Fairview hires good superintendent and wish them the best.

Interesting,,, I guess the little league team out of Chicago should keep their title as well. I think if you cheat,, there has to be a penalty just to keep the integrity of the game. I think the Administration should think more of their kids than to put them in that situation in the first place.

Well put.

Good coach I agree however McPeek is too so don't see your point on that. Kids were coming in then as well has been since 2000. Anyway time to quit talking about it is my point. Have good evening and good luck

If you were the superintendent, would you have fired Tackett?

He didn't he left for Ashland

Tackett was pushed out. No doubt. Why would someone push him out, is my question.

Musick did from my understanding just like he asked McPeek to resign from what I was told. I think Chad is good football coach and I think Mcpeek is a good football coach so don't see your argument there but those are opinions anyhow. My point is that I'm trying to make is one common theme is all of the mess is Mr. Musick and most educated people know who was truly to blame in the KHSAA investigation and people they say no are blind IMO. Anyway have a great day and good luck again.

He didn't he left for Ashland

So, you are saying Tackett left to take a job at Ashland?

Chad didn't get the job at Ashland until after he was told he would not be the football coach at Fairview the next season. Chad was looking for a job because he was told he would not have one at Fairview any longer. Among the jobs he looked at: Head coach at Lawrence County, assistant coach at Raceland and assistant coach at Ashland.

The only problem he and Musick had was, Musick said there would be more players coming into the program from out of state, and Chad said he would not be a part of it. But, it didn't seem to be a problem with Musick and McPeek.

Listen #2 , I'm not ignorant of the situation. I know things and I keep talking about them so people don't forget.
