March 2, 201511 yr Do people really care/ask about that stuff? Never even crossed my mind. Yes comes up almost always. I never answer.
March 2, 201511 yr Girlfriend and I have been looking for a dog. She found one she really liked and I agreed. I asked how much and she said $500. Then said she already made the $200 deposit. How much do you think that means we still need to pay? If you're like me, you're wrong. Yes it is....And that's not including the $500+ that's likely from the various supplies (crate, toys, food, etc.) and initial vet bill. We paid $350 for our dog. Imagine my surprise when the total initial expense approached $1k after vet, supplies, etc. :lol2: I paid $500 for my dog. No regrets at all. I adopted my dog from the animal shelter, I promise you guys you can't possibly be happier with your dogs than I am my mutt. I'm not knocking your want for a pure breed but I'd encourage everyone to at least consider shelter dogs.
March 2, 201511 yr I've always heard multiply the woman's by 3 and divide the man's by 3. What if I come up with a decimal, how can I explain that? Do heavy girls count for more than 1?

Every puppy we found at shelters was at least 2x the cost of what we ended up getting.
