From what I know I believe Beatty's kids both live in Louisville area. He may have applied but this seems more likemaking a statement over some issue to Trinity admin than really wanting to leave. I'd expect no change at Trinity.

What issues does he have at Trinity? From the outside looking in it appears to be the most football committed school in Kentucky.

I'd still be surprised to see him go.....

 

But....a few things....

 

1 - money isn't really a huge factor....his father passing and leaving him something like 1,600 acres of land, didn't hurt

2 - I believe his wife is still head of the history department at KCD, that's no joke either.

3 - I know his daughter has a great job here, not sure about son

4 - No grandbabies

5 - extended family, not a play right now.

 

If he goes, I think it's to try and find a way to win another mythical national championship.....that would be huge for his legacy.

I've heard tell that he and his family vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks which is very much closer to Bentonville than Louisville.

Why would a coach decide to leave LSU and go to Alabama? Not that that would ever happen. Oh wait...

 

Could be all sorts of things. The potential is there, of course, for great football, he wouldn't leave for less, so that's a given. Might be he loves the area. Money could be great. Community support might be off the charts. Facilities are 2nd to none from the looks of it. Challenge at Trinity could gone, just looking for something different. List could litteraly be endless.
