Being the best doesn't have to measured by wins and loses or with state titles.

My question would be which one of these schools makes the most of what they have and their situation? IMO, that is a best indicator of "success".

St. X. is the undeniable winner of this one, but the #2 spot should be quite interesting. Personally, I think Scott County's program, top-to-bottom, has clearly surpassed Somerset.

Would you please explain how Scott Co. has clearly passed Somerset?

I disagree. Scott has been very good for the last few years, but they are a Johnny Come Lately compared to Somerset in terms of history. I know Somerset also has great facilities and more title game appearances. Probably the most appearances without a title. I'm not sure on the fan support or the underclassmen programs. I would say Scott has the edge in coaching.

I guess I view this as an examination of a statistical trend, which is why I do not feel that Scott County is a "Johnny Come Lately". The Cardinals have displayed all the characteristics of a program built for longevity. They have established an attitude that they fear no one, and will play anyone anytime. They have been very miticulous in laying the foundation for a strong program for many years in the future ( all layers of play, fan support, facilities, coaches, etc.). On the other hand, if you closely examine the Somerset situation, the mathmatical slope is definitely negative with no upward movement in sight. The Jumpers peers within their own regional class are leaving them in the dust.

If you want to view History looking forward, thats OK with me, OX. :D

There is both Ancient History and Modern History. Lessons learned or unlearned from ancient history resulted in modern history. That is why I am giving more creedence to the recent past, Toots. :thumb:

No doubt about it, X is the winner.
