Beef Jerky

Featured Replies

I have been experimenting with some beef jerky recipes but have not found one that I love. Anybody have any recipes they would like to share? Spicy ones are especially wanted.

It's been a while since I've made it...but I've done it quite a bit. I'll dig around through my recipes at home this evening and see if I can't find any of them.

I know at one point I had tried putting Grippo's spice on it, and it was pretty good (although not quite as good as the Mingua's old Grippo's BBBQ flavor...which is now very unfortunately discontinued). I'll see what I can come up with once I get home.

What?! That was my favorite!

They still make a Mingua BBQ jerky, and it's good, but it pales in comparison to the Mingua Grippo's BBQ.

Always liked Pemmican peppered. Have no idea where to find it now locally if at all.

Can get it online for $40 for 8 3.25oz packs and pay $11.45 shipping. Wow.

I 100% agree with this statement. I saw at the PGA tour event last week, they did a segment on the caddie that makes the jerky for every one on tour. He lives in Texas and sells in stores now. It could be Ricky Fowler's caddie, but not 100%.

Here's my recipe for sweet Thai chili jerky:

1/2 cup Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce

2/3 cup soy sauce

2/3 cup Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons black pepper

2 teaspoons white pepper

2 teaspoons onion powder

1 teaspoon liquid smoke

1 teaspoon red pepper flake
