With so many players continually getting in trouble for Marijuana use and relaxed attitudes across the country about Marijuana, should the NFL remove it from the banned substance list?

 

I'm not saying they should or shouldn't just asking a question.

Yes. Just like our government should do the same.

Frankly, the NFL is stupid for not removing it because they could make a lot of minor issues go away so they could focus on the integrity of the game.

A little weed instead of alcohol might calm some of these guys down a bit, keep them on the couch and out of trouble.

Nope. JMO, but they aren't hurting the other team if they're high. Only hurting themselves and their team. Now I wouldn't be opposed to the league basically staying out of it, and allowing each team to police that however they see fit.

IMO, I could see removing it from the banned substance list. However if legal issues (arrested) came about from marijuana use or possession then it should be dealt with like any other legal issue by the league.

Agreed, but that's why I said the government needs to make it legal too.

Sure, just like a DUI. Alcohol is legal, DUI is not.

Spurs or Rockets back in the 80's were high so much they could barely function during some games. I think the team almost folded during that time. IMO, you can't play the game high just from an integrity standpoint.

Players being under the influence of anything on game day is a team issue and will quickly sort itself out.
