Concussion but not sure how long he is out

 

He hasn't been diagnosed with a concussion is what I was told.

This is a bad loss even without Dow.

 

I disagree. I know Mercer County people to win this game but East Jessamine has defeated Southwestern. It's not like they aren't capable of defeating Mercer County. If East defeats West next week they win the district. Mercer County was without one of their top 3 players and they got 35 from Trevon and 25 from Hager. I'll say it is a disappointing loss but I don't think it is a bad loss.

Mercer played extremely flat. Poor intensity on defense and poor rebounding. They are used to relying on Dow in the lane to protect the rim and rebound and never seemed to adjust to his absence. Offense wasn't an issue as they scored 81 points but it was their worst defensive effort of the year.

Haven't heard anything officially other than the ER doctor didn't diagnose him with a concussion. I was told he had a CT scan and that came back fine.

Point taken but they no longer control their own destiny in district seeding. Bad loss for them.
