January 29, 201511 yr I am not a Seattle fan, and I am somewhat of a New England fan (lived there 10 years), so I naturally take a greater dislike to Carroll. Many may forget Pete Carroll actually coached at New England for a short stint before he went to USC. My wife met him at a seminar and said he seemed to be a really nice guy. But MAINLY, I am a Broncos fan, and I take great exception to the wuppin' that the Seahawks put on them last year. AND, I detest games where the d-backs are allowed to manhandle receivers just as in basketball I hated Nolan Richardson's teams that fould 400 times during a game and challenged the refs. to call it. It seems to be the way with Seattle, and I don't like it. Additionally, I think this deflategate story is much ado about nothing. If one team did it, I am willing to bet others have, it just probably didn't make a difference, and/or their quarterback threw the ball so weakly that it didn't make a difference anyway. Just my opinion.
January 31, 201511 yr I'd rather play for Bill. He'd get the most out of me. Look what lots of Patriots have said on the way out, especially some who've taken cuts to stay and then get disposed of when the time is right. Bill seems like a guy who'd be talking to you normally one day and send you an email telling you that you'd been cut the next.
January 31, 201511 yr I don't blame Carroll for blowing up SC. I thank him for resurrecting a storied program that had been in decline for a decade plus. He energized that city, just like he is done in Seattle. There are parasites and leaches that effect just about every major program. Bush knew what he was doing, that is on him. If you are in charge of 85 to 100 plus teenagers, you do the best you can. Pete saw the writing on the wall, he knew when to exit. John Wooden is one the most respected man/teacher/coach in our lifetime. He had Sam Gilbert breaking more NCAA rules and violations than Carroll, Calipari, and Tarkanian combined. January 31, 201511 yr I saw this column in the Enquirer this morning and that is what leads me to ask the question. Doc's TML: Both Super Bowl coaches tough to like Belichick cheating is at the forefront of everyone's mind. Carroll destroyed one of the great franchises in college football with his cheating at USC. Who is worse? Who do you like less? Both are on the top of my :poop: list. I am calling this years game the S.C.B. .....The Super Cheaters Bowl. Tough choice, I disrespect, Loathe both.
