I know the Lady Bears probably ad other things on their minds, which is totally understandable.

Carl played basketball as a young man and loved watching his daughter play for the Bracken County Lady Bears. That's why Kennedy decided to play in Bracken County's game at Montgomery County on Tuesday night in her father's honor. (She scored 14 points in the junior varsity game, which her team lost 48-47, and 13 points in the varsity game, which her team lost 63-53.)

Brandon Carl's Daughter Plays Basketball Game In Honor Of Her Father - WTVQ

my heart goes out to this young lady. such courage and strength.

Such a strong young lady. So sad to have to have her go through something like this. Prayers go out to her and her family during this time.

It was indeed a very difficult game emotionaly for Kennedy as well as all the girls on the team. She played her Heart out last night and I know her dad was smileing down on here he would be so proud of the effort she gave out there ont he floor. I know her mother is proud of her as is all of the athletic department, classmates, the whole county for that matter. She is a remarkably strong kid and kept it together for the most part. When she was starting to loose control of her emotions her team mates and coaches were right there to comfort her.

 

I found myself doing alot of thinking today as most tend to do in times like these, about my family and how i would react in a situation like this, but by watching Kennedy last night her actions on and off the court make this polar bear extremely proud. She is mature beyond her years, and has givin me imspiration in my own life. From my family to hers our prayers for them in the upcoming days as each passes it will be more and more difficult but she has a big suporting cast behind her.

 

Also kuddos to the MoCo team and fans. Class act and the moment of silence was very much appreciated..
