What school has had the most unforgettable moments in the last 10 years?

From all sides of Ky.

Got to count Augusta's District opening win against Mason Co. last year as tops for the Panthers. As I recall Mason held Bach scoreless in the first quarter and the Panthers managed only 6 points. The lead spread to double figures when Brent took the game over and scored 48 of the Panthers next 55 and the overtime one point upset. You would have to have seen it to believe it.

Rowan County making a run all the way to the State Championship in 2011 and losing a heart breaker in double overtime.

Over the last 10 years you have to go with Mason County, yes they have been beaten by Augusta twice. BUT in that 10 year period it includes several state tournament appearences, a state championship, Final Four (where they lost to eventual state champion) and a Mr. Basketball. All of which those kids have gone to succeed at the next level with National Championships (Trevor Setty, Darius Miller, and Russ Middelton). With that being said nobody has more unforgettable moments than they do.

I think of a bunch of things but can't narrow it down to just one school that has the most:

Christian County's Sweet 16 run and Anthony Hickey's dominant performance at Rupp during the Sweet 16 along with the unforgettable Sweet 16 championship game against Rowan County.

Holmes/Central Sweet 16 championship game.

Madison Central/Ballard Sweet 16 championship game and having the best view in the house when Ken-Jah Bosley hit the game winning 3 pointer right in front of myself and the homey, spindoc. Unforgettable.

Jarrod Polson carrying West Jessamine on his back game after game on the improbable run to Semifinal Saturday.

Warren Central battling back from being way behind Ballard only to lose on an Ian Chiles banked in 3 pointer at the buzzer.(what just happened......)

Elliott County. Faulkners and Ferguson. That was a fun year.

Those are memories of the last 10 years that come to mind for me.

Mason County definitely has a great legacy. The Royals have always had good teams and great fans. I remember the Feldhaus team that was runner up at Rupp to Simon Kenton in 1982.

Also, I knew very well that when Maysville High consolidated with Mason in the early 1990s that it would make their program even better. Maysville has it's own brilliant basketball history. I especially remember the Myrick's being good athletes.

I remember watching Maysville at Freedom Hall in years past. It was great to watch their teams play, such athletes.

Usually consolidation helps benefit the athletic programs.

The 2013 state championship featuring Ballard and Madison Central. The end of this one was unforgettable. Ballard controlled the first half jumping out to a 34-22 lead over Central. The Indians went on a run in the 2nd half and were down 2 with 15 seconds left to go in the game. George Walker stole the inbound and Ken-Jah Bosley hit the game winning three with 2 seconds left in the ball game. All-around one of the best state tournaments in recent memory.
