Tanner Morgan QB Sophomore Hazard/ Transfered to Ryle

Featured Replies

I agree Mr. Sixer, interesting, putting a 6A on top because of a 1A QB, interesting, hype? Way too much talent coming back for Ryle to agree to any of this hype. There is so much more to a QB than throwing the ball!! Look at Dixie, Moore was successfull for so many other reasons than just throwing the ball! A pocket QB will get squashed in 6A! Be careful on here, you are dismissing way too much hard work that has already been put in this program by some current hard working football players! England is Ryles ticket IMO, he will set this team apart from the others!:thumb:

Moore wasn't successful throwing the ball, he was successful because of running the ball. If Moore could throw the ball they may have kept the state title game a lot closer.

England did play in that game. Ryle lost by 2 scores.

He played one play and caught a screen that went for big yards and fumbled. He did not return because he was injured.

Exactly, this young man should be a beast this up coming year, not to mention all the returning OL,DL , and the WR Ashley, who has great hands and can fly! :thumb:

You can't load the box to stop England anymore, Morgan has the arm to make you pay. The passing and running game will now feed off each other. It will be an explosive balanced attack. Not to mention Bateman who can scoot and Mcgregor is back this year too. In track they are 3 legs of the 4x100 and 200 relays. Ryle is going to be loaded at the skills. Those are just a handfull of the seniors. There are numerous upcoming juniors who have been smashing jv. While some teams are trying to fill holes Ryles problem is there isn't enough spots for all these kids!

or given Trinity even more time on the clock to score, because of incomplete passes. Really don't know how throwing the ball would have made the game closer? Trinity scored 47 points, throwing the ball had nothing to do with stopping Trinity. :ohbrother:

1 play, for a huge gain, and was injuried on the play , nice try, next!

What happened at Hazard to warrant the move back to Ryle? Or maybe the better question is what happened at Ryle to warrant the exit from Hazard? Or is this matter a parent work transfer issue ( like how I provided this "out" )?

Fear the Nation has officially started the Ryle 2015 Marketing Campaign...be humble bud, the Raiders should have a very good season! :thumb:

I'm humble and grateful for everyday. I never want to come accrossed as rubbing it in your face. Ill publicly apologize for the verbal altercations I've gotten into. Just like Dixie last year new they had something special, I think we do this year. The kids have been on a upward path and I truly believe this year they return to be one of the top teams of Nky.

He played more than 1 play, and I don't recall any big play by England. The only big play Ryle had was a flea flicker which Arnwine caught which resulted in 40+ yards and that was it. Ryle rushed for a total of 27 yards and 95 passing which 40+ of the passing came on that 1 play. so besides the Flea flicker there weren't any other big plays in the game by Ryle, but if that is what helps you sleep at night knowing that Cooper beat Ryle WITH England then so be it.

He also wasn't injured on any play. Wow, the excuses come plenty from you don't they?

You totally missed the point. I said if Moore had a passing game, which means able to complete passes to move the ball, then they could have made the game a little closer. I didn't say if they could throw incomplete passes. :ohbrother:

He played more than 1 play. If you say he fumbled then isn't that part of football? He fumbled so that's Cooper's fault? I don't understand.

I just don't understand the excuses Ryle fans are coming up with now. I guess Cooper can play that game also and say Hendrix only caught 3 passes and those were the only times he touched the ball on offense. If they would have thrown the ball more to him then Cooper may have won by 30.

England played against Cooper

Ryle lost to Cooper

Pretty much self explanatory.

England didn't play in that game, huge difference. Ryle whips Cooper this year, and yes you can write that down. :thumb:

This is exactly why I put Ryle on TOP this season, because of this young man. HellCat still think Cooper is going to beat Ryle this year, dream on! :sarcastic:

I was at the Ryle/Cooper game last year, and I am sorry Ryle fans but what is some of this stuff you all are coming up with? I now seen people say England didn't play, and other say he only played one play? Huh? I know there was a lot of talk last year saying Ryle would win easily, however making excuses that is not true is silly. It was two good teams, and Cooper was the better team that day. Granted England didn't play as much as he would later in the year. However he played more than what people are saying. He played at least 14 plays and Ryle probably only ran less than 40 plays total because of a lot of three and outs. Also he did come back in after his fumble on the next series, which was the last time they had the ball. So not sure what you all are talking about on that. The coaching staff early in the year was just trying to pass the ball more, once they seen that didn't work they adjusted later in the year and used him more.

I got to see Ryle and Cooper in person 3 times last year and loved seeing the improvement in both teams through the year. I am going to try to make sure my schedule is free so I can see the game again this year. It should be a good close low scoring game, and come down to who makes the least mistakes.

Doesn't Ryle already have a pretty good quarterback as a sophomore or am I wrong?

I did not see a lot of Ryle games last year but the few I did see including their 7 on 7's they had about an equal problem with accuracy as well as dropped passes. So it will be interesting to see if any WR's step up this year to help Morgan out. Arnwine was a really nice receiver but he was a SR.

Yes O'hara. I think Morgan is a better pure QB and has two years varsity experience over O'hara. O'hara is the better athlete. He will find a way on the field somewhere.
