KHSAA Boys Statewide Stats Leaders

Featured Replies

If you can average 25 points per game and shoot nearly 70%, why would you take long range shots? Others on the team do that pretty well. Williams makes most of his shots with someone hanging on his arm or bumping him so there's that too. Also leads the state in rebounds.

Poor comparison but pulled up Lebron James shooting %

75.3% from in the paint

40% between paint and arc

37.9% from 3 land.

Point is a kid should have a higher % if he is a post player. Not many kids in HS have the hops that Williams does. he should get his points form down under. Just saying that % is VERY good. Just not crazy good from where he shoots from.

Agree to disagree. Any high school kid shooting 70% is shooting as many shots as he does is doing something special. Not only is he doing that while having the kitchen sink thrown at him but he is also smart enough to play within himself. I'm blown away by his numbers.

Is there a blocks per game stat?

Not an option on the website

Yet when he stands 15 feet away from the basket with no one throwing the sink at him, he shoots 65%?

Please do not take this as a slam on one of the best players in the state. He plays a big mans game which is great. Just not a threat from the perimeter.

70% FG % is crazy good, whether or not shots are from 2 feet or 20 feet, because you have people hanging all over you and if you are that close to the basket, there is more traffic in there. I would say Carson Williams nor Dorian Henry take many uncontested shots.
