The winner of the Week #6 contest is The Professor, who scored 14 out of a possible 18 points. A tiebreaker was needed as The Professor & sealedpower both scored 14 points. The final score of the Louisville/North Carolina game was 72-71, for a total of 143 points. The Professor's guess of 141 points was closer than sealedpower's guess of 123 points.

 

As always the contest is not final for 24 hrs. All contestants have 24 hours to report any errors. Once it is final, the winner should consult the contest thread to claim their prize (Click here).

* Just 6 of our 18 competitors got the 5-point game right. Can'tcoach was not one of them.

 

* Tough slate of games overall, as proven by the fact that just 5 of our 18 competitors earned a double-digit score for the week. Can'tcoach was not one of them.

 

* The score that intrigued me most was that of coldweatherfan, who got the 5-point game right, as well as 1 of his 3-point games. The lover of our current temperatures managed to get just 1 of his 7 1-point games right, for a total of 9 points.

 

* The strong week by sealedpower moves him into the #1 spot in the Overall Season Standings, and lowering that other guy into the #2 spot.

 

* MJAlltheWay maintains a 13 point lead over PurpleZilla92 in the Overall Season Standings. If I remember right, these 2 go at it in the NFL contest every year, so they have a very heated rivalry. If I'm wrong on that & there is no rivalry, it should start ASAP.

 

* Speaking of PurpleZilla92, he was the low man this week with 2, which is also the number of pounds he plans to lose in the next decade.

 

* It appears that our ancient friend Methuselah C. Papa has left us in the cold, wearing nothing but our snowsuits, while we get bullied around by neighborhood punks. I sure do miss him. #turnonyoursarcasmdetectors

 

* We did have a moderator join us for the first time this week. The great nWo took time away from monitoring weather patterns to participate and scored a 7, which is the same score Can'tcoach got and he's been playing this contest for eleventy billion years.

 

* In closing, congrats to The Professor for winning this week. In all seriousness, this slate of games was the toughest to pick that we've had all year IMO. Great job Prof! :thumb:

This was a tough bunch of games to predict. I said I could see myself going 0 for 10. I was half right. This week's slate looks no easier.

 

On another note, is Randy Parker getting increasingly more annoying or is it just me?

 

I forgot to mention...nice job on that Notre Dame game, CC.
