If they do, and it means that the Texans pass because they believe in Mallett and think they have their QB with him (which I'm fine with), then all good.

I have NO doubt that Cutler can perform at least as well as, if not better than the following: Ryan Fitzpatrick, a hurt Ryan Mallett, Tom Savage, and Case Keenum.

If the Texans wanted to put JJ Watt at QB, I don't think he could play the position, but I wouldn't really argue with them either because he's one of the few guys who gets results on the field for them.

They have a Defense that is ready to go and can shut down some of the League's best, and still sit at .500 despite playing under center with guys I've listed above.

Mallett is the wild card because he was injured and only started once they came off the BYE Week (and let him learn the playbook), but otherwise, I'd take Cutler and his attitude at QB and see what he could do with the team with his cannon arm (throwing motion be damed because he can sling it) by throwing to Andre Johnson and DeAndre Hopkins if we put this year in a vacuum and had a "do over".

Maybe impetuious of me to say as a Texans fan, but I wouldn't blink before making that call (probably what you were getting at in Post #5 above).

BTW, Grizz, the Jags Defense is one of the more underrated units in the NFL, and while they won't get to my 5+ win prediction from earlier in the year, they are still underrated and have a ton of young talent. I also think they have their QB in Bortles after watching him in the 2:00 of the 1st Half against TEN. As long as the Colts have Luck, then the AFC South will run through them, but the rest of the division is still going to tool up enough to make things interesting.

That defense is a credit to Gus Bradley. Signing veterans and one of the best Jaguars draft in history last year helped. That being said, Jags started 6 rookies on offense throughout 90% of the season. Bortles got his rookie year out of the way. They're building, the record doesn't show and for 99% of the people who don't watch the Jags or AFC South have no idea. All of this is really pish posh because of the golden boy in Indy though. Jags will get there just need more time.

Yep. Going to be really hard for everyone to compete with the Colts as long as Luck is healthy. That's just going to be the nature of the beast for the next decade. The Colts won't win the division each year, but the road to the Division Title will go through Indy.

I'm a firm believer in that Cutler is a pretty good QB. He's been ruined by the terrible OLine he has in Chicago. So I'd take him over a lot of other QB's in the league

I might take him over Dalton in Cincinnati.

About the same player but one has a rocket arm.

Their front office is a joke which is good, they have Luck which is bad. They will end up giving him the biggest contract in NFL history which is good, he will be locked up for a long time which is bad. Man, do I hate the Colts. Get rid of Peyton and gain Luck.
